Trash removal from totes

Tuesday, 13 March 2012 07:35

This system receives stacks of totes (eventually nested) and delivers emtied totes at the following system.

Stacks of totes can be loaden onto the conveyor (eventually with the help of a balancer) and the stacks are buffered. The stacks are automatically destacked and transported through a trash removing spiral. The trash which was remaining in the totes is falling out directly into a disposal container. The empty totes are now handed over to the next trajectory.

Complete double installation for 2500 totes per hour.

High capacity destacking machine for Tesco GB

Wednesday, 01 June 2011 10:28

We have developed a new high capacity destacking machine for a Tesco DC in the London region. The machines were tested internally in Barneveld and delivered at the end of June.

A new innovation in the destacking operation is the new crate design. These crates are nested and can click in to each other. This makes it very important that the crates be destacked in a controlled manner. The machines have been tested internally and can reach a capacity of 2500 crates an hour.

Crate unfolder based on crate destacker

Friday, 14 January 2011 09:40

The use of foldable crates has become an irreversible trend within logistics. These are crates that can be folded when they are empty, so that they take up less space in the return cargo. The return volume has become an increasingly important aspect, since the distances for delivering and collecting products and raw materials have also become greater.

Moreover, within the production locations or packing departments, the foldable crate often involves additional work, thus largely cancelling out the savings in transport costs. Although installations for unfolding these crates do exist, they are often expensive and complex. They are also bulky and occupy a lot of valuable space within your company.
Based on a crate destacker, Elten has developed and manufactured a crate unfolder that only occupies a modest amount of space and can thus be immediately deployed in any production line or packing line. The operation of this machine is based on a well though-out simple concept.

If you want to know more about this machine or discuss the possibilities for your crates or containers within your company, please do not hesitate to contact us. We are there for you.

New range of stackers and destackers

Friday, 19 November 2010 13:23

Elten Logistic Systems has years of experience in designing and producing all kinds of machinery for handling crates and totes. In this capacity, many crate-stackers and de-stackers were made with several drives (hydraulic, pneumatic, electric and servo), depending on capacity. Frequently customer and project demand different lifting heights, input heights and discharge heights, depending on the functionality.

At this moment a new set of stackers and destackers is developed by Elten that in a large variety of functionality, capacity and required levels, customized handling solutions combines with standardized and fully life tested machine parts.

This development helps Elten to be able to deliver customized solutions faster while the customer is assured of reliable machines with good value for the money. The first machines based on this concept which will be ready in December.

John Lewis (GB) expands further

In 2008 Elten has developed, manufactured and installed at the end customer John Lewis in England, a comprehensive double handling line for totes and dollies. This is an "end of line” installation which orientates crates filled with products in an order picking system, builds stacks on dollies and sorts the dollies for dispatch.
